Thank You that we get to be a part of Your global Church at this moment. Thank You for the opportunity to spread Your love and hope to a world living in darkness and despair.
Your Word says that if Your people humble themselves, turn away from wickedness, and call on Your name, that You will answer them and heal their land.
So we, Your people, are asking Your forgiveness for the times we’ve chosen not to love the people You put in front of us.
Allow this season to strengthen Your Church and to remind us of how much You love this hurting world.
Please heal our land and use us to meet the needs of others. Grow our faith as You grow Your global Church.
Come, Lord Jesus, and do what only You can do.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Let us spread Faith and not Fear.
This too shall pass..
You are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Whoever is affected right now, I decree and declare speedy recovery in Jesus name.
Most of us are quick to answer this question with “God’s approval”. But is that really the truth? Man’s approval can challenge our hearts.
God has a great call on each of us to achieve a unique purpose during our lifetime. However, I believe that many of us have no idea what this call or purpose looks like for us. Today I can help give some clarity in this. Are you ready? The first step in understanding your unique purpose in life is to set your focus entirely on gaining God’s approval. It is that simple!
If you decide in your heart that your focus is to be pleasing toward God and you care about His approval above all else, He will begin to lead you into the purpose that He has for your life!
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13
What I’m sharing in this post sounds simple so far, doesn’t it?
Seek God’s approval and follow Him above man’s approval. Then, in turn, He will show you your purpose! Truthfully this isn’t extremely difficult to understand or to apply. However, where the challenge comes into play is when people get brought into the mix. Family, significant others, friends, managers, pastors, and others can unintentionally get in the way of us seeking God’s approval first.
Due to the influence these individuals have in our lives, we often begin seeking their approval above God’s approval. The moment you shift your priority from seeking God’s approval to focusing on man’s approval, you will step further from God’s purpose for your life.
Yet at the same time, many even among the leaders believed in Jesus. But because of the Pharisees, they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear, they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God. – John 12:42-43
The desire to be loved and noticed is within each of us. When we are seeking God’s approval above all else, people see where we are going and often want to help, or they want to acknowledge how well you are doing, or even push us in the ‘right direction.’ Often this leads us to want more of man’s approval. We enjoy the attention. I completely understand this, and it is a battle that we all face. (Please note: The solution is not to avoid people altogether; people are part of every believer’s calling. Mentors and an inner circle of friends are from God to lead us to our purpose.)
How can I seek God’s approval above man’s approval?
When we get around the people that God has placed in our lives, we need to remember that, above all, we are first seeking God’s approval for our lives. If we have the right people close to us in our lives, they will encourage us to seek God’s approval above theirs.
But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak. Not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts. – 1 Thessalonians 2:4
Let’s each decide to seek God’s approval above the approval of men so we can continue to walk in His calling and fulfill the purpose that He has for our lives. You may be rejected by some, but if you are accepted by One, you have all you need. Stay faithful and seek God’s approval above man’s approval. As a result, you’ll step more into the purpose that God has on your life.
NB: I normally say this to my friends and followers, you don’t need a large crowd to be aware you doing well. You just need one person and you good to go. This year is a year of pleasant surprises, let’s keep seeking the approval of God over the approval of men in our lives. When God steps in your life, He changes everything and it’s permanent, but when men steps in, disappointment is sure to happen.
Right now I want to give you the opportunity to come to our Lord Jesus Christ if you haven’t given your life to Him. He is the only one that will step in to your life and change it for good. Please say this after me:
Lord Jesus, I thank you for your love and mercy over my life. I believe you came to this world to die for my sins and gave me the gift of salvation. Today I accept you as my Lord and Saviour in Jesus name Amen.
If you just said this words, I welcome you to the family of Christ. Expect uncontainable blessings and favour in your life in Jesus name.
Lots of appreciation and credit to Alex Sanfilippo.
I will appreciate if I have your deepest attention on this post. It is what most of us go through eveyday as we try to get closer to God. Please read through, digest it, and share.
I only realized to record my awareness of this last night, but I feel closer to God when I vocally/verbally say my prayers rather than saying them in mind. Are you the same way? Every now and then I have a hard time mindfully praying especially in the early morning and night before sleeping. It’s because many other thoughts will compete with what I’m trying to tell God and I will not be successful at actually finishing the prayer. Instead I’ll either drift off to sleep or not sleep at all because I have these other random thoughts not properly dealt with. If I pay attention to those thoughts, my focus will not be on Him 100%. Anyway, I was laying in bed mindfully talking to God and all of a sudden doubt welled up in me. Maybe because I was laying down and not sitting up so I wasn’t completely in humility mode. If anyone here sends me prayer requests, I will usually type it up because it’s how I show that I really care and that I actually did pray for you. Typing it up comes more naturally to me than literally saying it because I’ve journaled my prayers for so long. Verbalizing/vocalizing them is something I’m getting better at. But for my friends who need help connecting with God on a deeper level, try literally saying them if you’ve never made it a habit, and always begin with praise and worship, then thanks, and confession, and lastly bring up your requests and all other desires…ACTS – Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication. This order will help you build a deep humility, which is perfect when you’re asking the LORD for anything, you’ll have more peace, hope, and faith that He heard you and that your prayers will be answered. 💗🙏🏼
Also if you want to give your life to Christ, say this after me: Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of salvation and grace. I believe truly you came to die for my sins. Today, I make you my Lord and personal saviour in Jesus name. Amen!
I’m ready to pass the test. I’m ready for the final result. I’m ready to close the chapter of pain and loss. I’m ready to heal from my past heartbreak. I’m ready to close that door forever. I’m ready to put an end to the stormy days and the lonely nights. I’m ready for you to reveal to me the reasons behind my struggles. I’m ready for the blessings that you’ve kept me waiting for. I’m ready for the blessings that follow every hardship.
I’m ready to accept your blessings. I now feel like I deserve them. I now have faith in you and your plans. I will be able to cherish the blessings you bring me. I will be able to appreciate the little things and be grateful for them because I know how hard it was to get them. I know how hard it was without them. I’ve learned not to take your blessings for granted.
I’m ready for your miracle because I think I learned my lessons. I think I’m becoming the person you wanted me to become. I think I’m closer to you more than ever now. I know you’re my healer. I only run to you when I’m confused. I only talk to you when I’m sad. I’m ready for your miracle because I know you heard me and my prayers. I know you want to see me happy and I know you want what’s best for me and I’m ready for it. I’m the best version of myself these days and I am prepared to receive your best gifts.
I know this is my year. I know this is my time. I know this is the part of my story where everything changes for the better. I know this is the part of my story that takes me to a whole new universe.
Because you and I both know how hard the journey has been, how hard the past few years have been and how tired I am. We both know that I tried it all, fell down and got back up. We both know that things haven’t been easy or smooth. We both know that I almost gave up on myself and my life and we both know that I’ve used up all my energy and my strength to fight back and rise again. We both know that I only have very little left in me to fight or try again. We both know that anything more than that will be more than I can handle so this is where I leave it all up to you.
This is where I surrender to your power. This is where I sit back as you fight my battles. This is where I raise my hands and tell you that I’ve done my part and I can’t do this on my own anymore.
And I think, I believe , this is where you tell me that I’ve seen enough and dealt with enough and passed all your difficult tests so here’s my reward. Here’s my miracle. Here’s the blessings that will take all the pain away. Here’s the magic that happens when you have faith in me and allow me to finish your story. It’s always better than the one you had in mind. I’m full of beautiful surprises and I’m ready to unfold them to you one by one.
To everyone waiting and patient to recieve their breakthrough, I say to you today, your breakthrough is here already. Open your hearts and recieve it by faith!
Am sorry this is out of my niche but very important because we need to pray against any form of war that is escalating between the United States of America and Iran.
According to Express online, WORLD WAR 3 fears were triggered overnight by the killing of Iran military commander General Qasem Soleimani by the hand of US forces and former President Obama Middle East adviser warned a major military escalation could result from Donald Trump’s latest move.
Gordon Philip, Special Assistant to President Obama and White House Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf Region, told BBC’s Radio 4 Today Programme it could be “very easy” for tensions between Iran, the US and Iraq to escalate in a major war conflict. The overnight decision to kill General Qasem Soleimani sparked fears of World War 3 across the globe and was dubbed an act of terrorism and “extremely serious” for everyone diplomatically involved.
And they’re going to find out whether the Trump administration is equally prepared to getting in a tit for tat potentially very serious escalation.” According to the source.
For both sides, this is a serious issue, because with the current activities going in Iraq at the United States embassy, it’s like Iran and Iraq are planning on retaliating as air fighters are roaming towards the west.
Am appealing to everyone reading this, even if you don’t have any interest in whatever is happening in the world, let us come together as one to pray against any form of war.
I may not understand everything that’s happening in my life right now, but I’m choosing to hold on to the fact that everything has a purpose. I may be overwhelmed with questions as to why certain things are happening in my life, but my faith is not dependent on my feelings. This season of pain and struggle in my life is proof that You are still good and You are with me every step of the way.
I know that I have a lot of questions filled with doubt and fear, and I’m trying my best not to have the urge to control the outcomes of my life. No matter how hard I pray or how hard I try to control outcomes, I know I’ll end up more frustrated because You are the one in control of everything. Despite the fact that everything doesn’t make sense and it’s easy to be overwhelmed with darkness, I know that You are the light I need to get through this season of my life.
God, I am truly sorry for the times when I thought that if I prayed hard enough, you would change the outcome of a situation in my life. I’m truly sorry for thinking that prayer is a form of manipulation when in truth, prayer should be a form of showing You just how much I love you, despite my pain and heartbreak. I am truly sorry for the times when I lost my faith when You refused to answer my prayer. I know that You have a purpose in everything that happens and I will just choose to hold on to You even tighter because of this. Most of all, I’m truly sorry for all the times when I blamed You and cried to You for thinking that You didn’t care about the pain I’m going through. I know You care. In fact, You care so much for us that You made the ultimate sacrifice and let Your son die for us to save us from our sins, and that is the purest form of love.
The truth of the matter is that struggles show us more about our faith than we’ll ever know. I know that despite things not going the way as planned, my faith will continue to have a foundation that is stronger than anything.
My God, you are stronger than every giant and every struggle that I’m ever going to overcome. You are stronger than every feeling of darkness, desperation, hopelessness, and fear. You are stronger than depression, than cancer, than any illness that comes into our lives. You are far greater than everything that is bound to destroy us.
You are the God of outcomes and You are the God of miracles and breakthroughs, and no amount of pain can ever change that.
Thank you Jesus for everything!

Do you know how incredible blessed you are? There are so many little things that we take for granted. The fact that you can read this means you are not one of the 774 million people in the world who can’t read or write a single world (statisticbrain.com). Can you imagine going through life without being able to read texts, emails, or a book to your children? Let alone trying to find a good paying job to support your family.
The phone or computer you are reading this on also puts you in a distinguish category 99% of the world would kill for. Did you know the median average income worldwide is $10,000 (Gallup)? There are some of us that spend that much in a month or two between our mortgage, transport, feeding, etc…. Imagine trying to feed your family on that for an entire year.
Please don’t feel bad for being blessed, that’s not what I am trying to get at. There is nothing wrong with accumulating wealth and living a comfortable life style, it’s a gift from God. Where we need to be careful is that we don’t get too comfortable and begin to feel we are entitled to a certain life style or certain things.
Luke 12:48 tells us “…From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded. And from the one trusted with much, much more will be expected.” Are you treating your possessions like they are Gods and asking him what you should do with them? The bible tells us we are stewards on Gods behalf. He has given you a house, car, a good bank account, children, a nice house, etc… Do you feel like you have done a good job managing these items for God? If there was a big board meeting with God and he asked how his portfolio was doing he put you in charge of, what would your presentation look like? Would there be pictures of you whining and crying because you didn’t get the Lariat package on your new whip? Or would there be pictures of you using your new whip to help someone at church move their mom into the nursing home?
Everyone likes nice things and wants a comfortable life style. But let me remind you that Christian living is not an easy and cushy life style. I had a hard time with this once I rededicated my life to Christ. I instantly thought that blessing would shower down upon me and life would just be gravy. When things didn’t turn out that way I became mad and frustrated that I wasn’t receiving what Iwanted. Through various avenues God showed me I was wrong for feeling and thinking this way and issued me a challenge. Every night when I would pray I was to say one thing I was thankful for no matter how big or small I thought it was. The other side of it was that I couldn’t repeat the same item I was thankful for within a 30 day time frame.
I want to issue the same challenge to you and your family. Whether you thank God during your prayers, journaling, devotions, or whenever, take time to tell God what you are thankful for that he gave you. God loves a thankful heart because not only does it show a loving devotion to him but also a faith/surrendering that he has control over your life. And I can speak from personal experience that this challenge will change your perspective on life in a huge positive way.

The key to having abundant life in Christ is living by God’s grace through faith. Because grace is His power working in us, enabling us to do whatever we need to do in life.
When we try to do everything in our own strength and leave God out of the equation, we just get worn-out and frustrated by our mistakes and failures. But when we lean on God, we actually enter into His rest and can enjoy our lives, no matter what our circumstances may be.
Hebrews 4:9-11 says, So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest…
Now the rest of God is not a rest from work—it’s a rest in work. It’s partnering with God to do what He is calling you to do by His grace, and leaving the part you can’t do in His hands, trusting Him to do it. Hebrews 4:3 says it this way: For we who have believed enter that rest… So we start by believing.
Trying vs. Trusting
When I’m trying to believe, I haven’t entered God’s rest. But when I do believe, I have complete rest in Him. Living by faith is not a struggle—it’s rest. And you can enter into God’s rest in every area of your life.
I’ve discovered that the stress in my life is caused by the way I approach my circumstances and the attitude I have toward them. It was a turning point for me when I realized that the world will probably never change, but I could learn how to change the way I go about handling situations that are challenging.
One key to this is knowing that as believers in Christ, we are partners with God—we have a part, and He has a part in everything He calls us to do. When we don’t do the part we can do and we try to do His part instead, that’s when we live stressed-out with worry, fear, anxiety, frustration, no peace and no joy.
The reason this happens sometimes is because we think God needs our help. We meditate on the problem—rolling it over and over in our mind, worrying, trying to figure out how things should work out. It’s like we’re telling God, “I kind of think You need my help, and I’m not sure You can take care of this situation, Lord.”
We need to realize that worrying is useless! It’s like sitting in a rocking chair, rocking all day, wearing yourself out and getting nowhere. Trusting God means we give up worrying, reasoning, and anxiety and we enter into His rest with simple childlike faith—we live by grace through faith!
I discovered something recently, when you talk to people, they confuse you even more but when you talk to God, slowly but surely you begin to find your direction, you begin to feel like things are slowly making sense and somehow things just feel right again.
It’s not an overnight epiphany, it’s not a magic wand that will finally wipe away your confusion, it’s just a small step in the right direction, an idea, a small decision or just a new sense of self-worth or wisdom that makes you feel unstuck and sets you free.
Talk to God if you’re confused about someone, he will either move your heart closer or push you away. Signs will show up, you will hear something about them, you will see a side you haven’t seen before, you will slowly begin to make a decision and you will eventually figure out if that’s the right person for you.
Talk to God if you don’t understand why certain things aren’t happening or why certain blessings are delayed, somehow he will give you reassurance that your patience will pay off, that he is planning something far bigger and greater than what you had hoped for. You will understand, in time, that maybe you weren’t ready to receive what you wanted when you really wanted it, you will understand that the things you wish or pray for change over time. You grow and you realize that what you wished for a year ago is totally different than what you wish for now.
Talk to God if you’re lost. You may not find yourself or your answers right away but you will find a thread of hope, a new piece of information, a gut feeling that propels you to do something you never thought of doing or take a risk you were afraid of taking or just take a leap of faith. He will give you courage, strength and patience to at least stay grounded until you find what you’re truly looking for.
The thing is talking to God doesn’t fix everything overnight, but it gives you the tools and the resources you need to overcome the confusion, overcome the hardships and stay hopeful that better things are coming your way.
Maybe we’re always looking for a quick fix, but quick fixes don’t last, they break easily. Healing takes time. Finding what’s really right for you is a long and tumultuous journey.
Miracles take time but they happen and only God can make them happen.
And when you learn how to talk toGod, solitude becomes sweeter and somehow you feel safer because you know that there’s nothing you can’t handle. Everything will fall into place. Everything will be okay.
We’ve all been there. After praying feverishly about something big and audacious, God sometimes gives us exactly what we asked for. Whether we’ve been granted permission to adopt a child, been given a promotion into management, or been selected for a full-time overseas mission, being a good steward with God’s trust becomes paramount.
That’s why it’s very important to follow-up an answered prayer with an additional plea to God’s ear—asking for the wisdom and courage to endure. If you’re in that phase of life right now and don’t know what to pray about, let’s pray right now together:
Thank you for answering our big and audacious prayers. We couldn’t be more grateful of your provision.
At the same, we’re scared. We don’t want to ruin what or who you’ve given us. We want to be the best we can be with the gifts you have given us, but we don’t trust ourselves.
So we ask for wisdom, strength, and humility to carry your blessings well. We may not trust ourselves, but we trust you. Please give us the ability be like you as we take in a needy child, lead people at work, receive a large sum of money, enter the full-time mission field, and etc. Let our presence decrease and your presence increase.
With all glory to you and in Jesus’ name,
In addition to follow-up prayer, we should meditate on scripture during a season of increased responsibility and increased trust. There are several verses in the Bible that are great for this, but we are a few highlights:
2 Corinthians 2:14 – But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. (ESV)
Colossians 4:2 – Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (ESV)

The elder, To the lady chosen by God and to her children, whom I love in the truth —and not I only, but also all who know the truth — because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love. It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. (2 John 1:1-5 – NIV)
