Don’t Find Fault

Pray don’t find fault with the man who limps
Or stumbles along the road,
Unless you have worn the shoes he wears
Or struggled beneath his load.

There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt,
Though hidden from view;
Or the burden he bears, placed on your back
Might cause you to stumble, too.

Don’t sneer at the man who’s down today,
Unless you have felt the blow
That caused his fall, or felt the shame
That only the fallen know.

You may be strong, but still the blows
That were his, if dealt to you
In the selfsame way at the very selfsame time
Might cause you to struggle, too.

Don’t be hard with the man who sins
Or pelt him with words or stones,
Unless you are sure, and doubly sure
That you have no sins of your own;
For, you know, perhaps, if the tempters voice
Should whisper soft to you
As it did to him when he went astray,
It would cause you to falter, too.

Stand Firm

If you quit today you will never win
Don’t be discouraged try again
Don’t let your obstacles bring you down
Stand firm, persist and hold your ground.
Perseverance is the key, it’s true
Don’t give up whatever you do
Believe in yourself you will not fail
You will find your dreams soon set sail.
Have confidence and you will see
Be the best you can be
Your attitude, is your state of mind
Being positive makes life so much more kind.

Your Problems

Poet: Kate Summers

There are times in our lives

When we are filled with strife

When the world seems against us

And we feel anything but blessed.

But when we stop and look

Or when we read about others in a book

We soon come to realize

That our problems can paralyze.

Problems can stop us from seeing the good

We look at the world and feel so misunderstood.

We need to back up and think

about a solution and the link.

We need to focus our thoughts and energy on

a solution we can implement before the next dawn.

Taking action and doing something

Is always better than just feeling the sting.

So don’t let your problems stop you

Don’t let your problems make you feel blue

Get up and get going

You will soon find your smile showing through!

A Kindly Little Deed

I did a favor yesterday,
a kindly little deed.

Then I called all to the world
to stop and look and heed.

They stopped and looked and flattered me
in words I could not trust.

And when the world had gone away,
my good deed turned to dust.

A very tiny courtesy
I found to do today.

Twas quickly done with none to see,
and then I ran away.

For someone must have witnessed it,
For truly, I declare,
As I sped back the stony path,
Roses were blooming there!

Life Like A Rainbow

There is nothing more beautiful than a rainbow
But it takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow.

If life is to be rounded and many-colored like the rainbow,
Both joy and sorrow must come to it.
Those who have never known
Anything but prosperity and pleasure
Become hard and shallow,
But those whose prosperity
Has been mixed with adversity
Become kind and gracious.

It Don’t Take Long

It don’t take long to listen to another fellow’s grief,
It don’t take long to sympathize and help him find relief;
You will make his life much happier to give him this boost,
And your soul will be contented when you come home to roost.
It don’t take long to smile and say a pleasant “How are you”?
It means so much when someone feels down-hearted, sad and blue;
‘Twill make the day turn sunny on a very rainy day,
And you will feel much happier, as you go on your way.

It don’t take long to sit a while when someone’s sick in bed,
A cheery word will often soothe a tired, aching head;
And they will think you quite a guy, and find the day is bright,
So sit a while, and chat a while, your heart will glow with light.

Omission

Pinterest

It is not the things you have done today,
That will haunt you through the year;
It’s the little things you didn’t do,
That will banish joy and cheer.

You did not say “thanks” for the kind deeds alone,
By a friend who lives next door;
You did not say one kind tender word,
To the man, with trials sore.

And the letter you planned to write today,
It was never penned by you;
A cheerful note would have meant so much,
To those far from home – and blue.

The aged lady, that lives down the way,
Whose loved ones, now, are few;
Would have been so pleased with a small bouquet,
From your garden, wet with dew.

These are the things that will haunt you by day,
And keep you awake by night;
It’s the little things that you didn’t do,
That will dim your normal sight.

Success

Pinterest

Not what we have, but what we use;
Not what we see, but what we choose –
These are the things that mar or bless
The sum of human happiness.

The things near by, not things afar,
Not what we seem, but what we are –
These are the things that make or break,
That give the heart its joy or ache.

Not what seems fair, but what is true;
Not what we dream, but good we do –
These are the things that shine like gems,
Like stars in fortune’s diadems.

Not as we take, but as we give,
Not as we pray, but as we live –
These are the things that make for peace,
Both now and after Time shall cease.

Keep Moving

I scanned wise words in a book to-day;
this was the message, they seemed to say:
Keep moving ahead!

You can’t stand still unless you really are very ill; for if you stop, like an unwound clock,
you’re bound to suffer a fearful shock,
for something will happen to give you a shake, and say to your conscience, “Move on, awake.”

Keep moving ahead, or your soul will die,
and beauty evade your heart and eye.
No matter at all that your pace be slow
so long as you upward, upward go,
into a finer atmosphere, where ideals live and visions clear, and Goodness and Truth have taken firm stand, and folks to folks stretch a loving hand.

For this be the measure of our success,
the measure of all life’s happiness:
just how well we have moved ahead;
or just how early our soul was dead!

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things go wrong that you mustn’t quit.

Poem: He Is God

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and
The Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be…
Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can’t understand him,
The armies can’t defeat Him,
The schools can’t explain Him, and
The leaders can’t ignore Him.
Herod couldn’t kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, and
The people couldn’t hold Him!
Nero couldn’t crush Him,
Hitler couldn’t silence Him,
The New Age can’t replace Him, and
Donahue can’t explain Him away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.
He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right,
His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and
His mind is on me.
He is my Redeemer,
He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and
He is my peace!
He is my Joy,
He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and
He rules my life!
I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and
His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
The power of the powerful,
The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers,
The leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers, and
The sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size.
His goal is a relationship with ME!
He will never leave me,
Never forsake me,
Never mislead me,
Never forget me,
Never overlook me, and
Ever cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere,
Every time, and every way.
He is God, He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world.

So, if you’re wondering why I feel so secure, understand this…

He said it and that settles it.
God is in control, I am on His side, and
That means all is well with my soul.

Happy Sunday Guys!!!

No Time

I knelt to pray but not for long;
I had too much to do.

I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer
And jumped up off my knees.

My Christian duty was now done.
My soul could rest at ease.

All day long, I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.

No time to speak of Christ to friends.
They’d laugh at me I’d fear.

No time, no time, too much to do;
That was my constant cry.

No time to give to souls in need,
But at last the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord.
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands, God held a book;
It was the book of life.

God looked into his book and said,
“Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down
But never found the time.”

Photos: Happy Birthday To My Queen Alecia

Holding your hand, warms my heart.
Kissing your lips, ignites my soul.

Making a promise, never to depart,
I rely on you, to make me whole.

Another year, and another birthday,
an additional candle, lights up the cake.

Need not to count those candles today,
So just enjoy the glow they make!

My angel descended on a day like this,
the heavens cried for what they would miss, as you are an angel like no other,
a beauty inside and out.

I was lucky to have found you first,
and even luckier as we fell in love.
Laughter crackled with your mirth,
and you made me the happiest man on earth.

One fine day, as we got engaged,
I pledged to keep you safe and sound,
and to always resist our every strife.
for you are the best and sweetest fiancé!

May this birthday be the best day of your life!

Happy Birthday my angel!

Guys help me show some love by wishing her a big happy birthday.. Thanks

Temptation

What is it?

Why is it?

Is it a desire of something wrong,
something bad?

Is it a desire of something we shouldn’t have?

Why do we desire things we shouldn’t have?

Who says we shouldn’t have it?

Who says it’s wrong,

who says it’s bad?

Don’t things we want fill a natural human/animal need?

Do we judge other animals for their needs
and desires?

Aren’t we just animals like all the rest?

Are temptations the same around the world?

Is what’s desired here desired there?

Do temptations change as time goes by?

Do societies norms evolve over time?

Does what’s bad or tempting changes as times moves by?

Human needs and desires are constant, it’s civilization that’s not.

It’s civilization that dictates what is “tempting” and “bad”.
